Tongzhou Li 李同舟

Tongzhou Li is a California-licensed attorney and CPA who represents and advises individuals and businesses in federal and California tax disputes and audits.

He is a former Appeals Officer with the IRS Independent Office of Appeals, where he settled cases involving Foreign Bank Account Report (FBAR) and international information return penalties, Trust Fund Recovery Penalty (TFRP) cases, and Collection Due Process (CDP) cases.

Before joining the IRS, he was a KPMG International Tax professional, working with multinational corporations and partnerships on cross-border tax planning, structuring, and U.S. international reporting compliance.

He has since represented clients in IRS audits, Streamlined offshore filings, California EDD employment tax audits and international penalty matters. He is also a California-licensed REALTOR® and a U.S. Army veteran, and he is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
